The NP will work with the collaborating physician in an active inpatient practice to deliver health care services to our patients.  The Nurse Practitioner shall consult with the collaborating physician by telecommunication or in person as needed. In the absence of the designated collaborating physician, another physician shall be available for consultation.

Schedule: 2 Sundays/month (8am-5pm)

Specific Duties (examples) 

 

  • Work with the collaborating physician in an active inpatient practice to deliver health care services to our patients.
  • Diagnosis, treat, and manage acute and chronic health problems.
  • Prescribe appropriate pharmacologic treatment.
  • Monitor the effectiveness of interventions.
  • Order, interpret and perform laboratory and radiology tests.
  • Prescribe medications, including controlled substances, to the extent delegated.
  • Perform other therapeutic or corrective measures as indicated. 
      • Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
      • Valid APRN
      • At least (2) two years NP office practice experience, preferably in an infectious disease field
      • Proof of current vaccinations, including recommended boosters, commonly required for those working with immunocompromised patients, including measles, mumps, rubella, varicella, hepatitis A & B, influenza, and COVID-19.
