POSITION OVERVIEW
The Senior System Administrator will lead the administration and optimization of our IT infrastructure, ensuring high availability, security, and scalability across on-premises and cloud environments. This role involves mentoring team members, driving automation, and implementing best practices for system reliability and security along with leading projects including M&A integrations to support CR鈥檚 growth goals. The right candidate should have a customer-centric focus and delight in implementing and maintaining resilient infrastructure to meet business needs. This role emphasizes automation and hybrid cloud integration and requires extensive Azure experience.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
路 Lead administration of Windows and Linux servers, Active Directory, Entra ID, Intune configuration profiles, Intune admin profiles, Intune policies and Group Policies.
路 Manage Azure infrastructure including implementation of IaaS/PaaS, building virtual resources, storage accounts, and networking.
. Apply Microsoft and industry best practices to the implementation and operation of Azure IaaS and PaaS, both in cloud-optimized and lift-and-shift scenarios.
路 Automation and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) scripts using Terraform, Ansible, and PowerShell.
路 Manage and optimize virtualization environments (VMware, Horizon, Hyper V, Azure) and cloud resources.
路 Work with the security team to design and implement backup and disaster recovery strategies.
路 Ensure network security and performance, including SASE, firewall and VPN configurations.
路 Monitor system health and performance; proactively detect and prevent or swiftly resolve complex issues.
路 Mentor and develop team of system administrators and provide technical leadership.
路 Collaborate with Enterprise Application and Cyber Security teams to mitigate risk and maintain compliance and security standards.

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
路 10+ years of experience in system administration (Windows/Linux).
路 Advanced in-depth Azure Experience (Landing Zones, AVD, Monitoring, Performance Management, etc.).
路 Strong expertise in VMware, Active Directory, Entra, and cloud platforms (Azure, AWS).
路 Advanced knowledge of networking fundamentals and security best practices.
路 Proficiency in automation (PowerShell, Bash, other scripting tools, Intune).
路 Experience with monitoring tools and incident response.
路 Experience with Intune and Autopilot administration

Preferred Qualifications
路 Certifications: Microsoft Certified: Windows Server, Azure, VMware VCP, Security+.
路 Familiarity with DevOps principles and Infrastructure as Code.
