Job Description:

The Georgia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities (DBHDD), is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Social Worker/Licensed Supervisor, LCSW at Georgia Regional Hospital – Atlanta, located in Decatur, GA.

Salary:  $83,700.00

Job Grade L 

8am to 5pm Monday-Friday

Job Description:

The employee provides SW oversight and supervision for West and Central Units servicing as SW Manager. Duties include completion of SW assessment, discharge planning, Screenings for DD waiver consumers and linkage with DD waiver providers. Managing more complex patient case such as ADA patients. Additionally, the employee will service as the immediate supervisor for 6 FTE professional staff and 2 Part-time professional staff.

Preferred Qualifications

Requires an MSW degree. Must be licensed as LMSW with 1 yr. Supervisory exp or have a LCSW Minimum of three years experience working in an in-patient or out-patient MH setting. Extensive knowledge of community resources and experience with collaborating with multiple agencies to coordinate discharge planning. Abilities to supervise and direct the clinical activities of a behavioral health program.

FOR THIS TYPE OF EMPLOYMENT, STATE LAW REQUIRES A NATIONAL AND STATE BACKGROUND CHECK AS A CONDITION OF EMPLOYMENT.  

Preferred Qualifications:

LCSW

Three years’ experience working in an in/out patient Mental Health setting

Extensive knowledge of Community Resources and understanding of DBHDD level of care

Minimum Qualifications:

Master's degree in social work and counseling from an accredited college or university and licensure in the area of assignment and three (3) years of experience at the lower level Social Worker, Licensed 3 (HCP052) or position equivalent; or Master's degree in social work and counseling from an accredited college or university and licensure in the area of assignment and three (3) years of experience in the provision of therapeutic services with, which includes one (1) year in a managerial or supervisory role.
