Description

The Emory Nursing Learning Center in Downtown Decatur is in search of a Senior Clinical Placement Specialist. 

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop new partnerships with clinical learning sites for use in the health professions programs.
  • Collaborate with Program Manager and Leadership on strategic planning initiatives.
  • Lead and influence stakeholders.
  • Facilitate quarterly collaboration with Academic Program leaders, facilities, and health professions faculty to align clinical utilization to ensure placement needs are met.
  • Successfully complete timely placement of every health professions student.
  • Train new and current team members to clinical placement.
  • Assist in the development of evaluation processes for both students, instructors, and clinical agencies.
  • Take the lead and manage various initiatives and projects identified by leadership.
  • Upload hours completed and/or precepted professional certification and preceptor payment if applicable.
  • Maintains and modifies departmental database, verifying credentials, compliance, historical information, etc.
  • Interprets university and hospital policies.
  • Provide oversight for all clinical contractual agreements within the School of Nursing to ensure execution of the agreement, renewals, fee addendums and terms of contracts and short form agreements.
  • Collaborates with internal and external stakeholders related to general and professional liability insurance verifications.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree required; Masters preferred.
  • Minimum of three years of related experience in the institution of higher learning or healthcare field or clinical placement.
  • Completion of Clinical Placement Certificate Program within 90 days of start if not already completed.

NOTE: This role will be granted the opportunity to work from home regularly but must be able to commute to Emory University on a flexible weekly schedule based upon business needs. Schedule is based on agreed upon guidelines of department. This role requires residency in the state of GA. Emory reserves the right to change remote work status with notice to employee.
