Hiring a Service Technician / Mechanic to support our vocational and utility equipment.

Schedule Monday – Friday7:00 AM – 4:00 PMOvertime available based on business needs

What you’ll work on

  • PMs, diagnostics, repair & inspections
  • Truck-mounted utility equipment: boom & bucket trucks, diggers, dump, service, forestry & aerial cranes
  • Diesel engines, chassis, hydraulics, electrical & controls

What you need

  • Experience as a mechanic with aerial, construction, or heavy/light-duty trucks
  • Valid driver’s license & own mechanic tools

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assess, diagnose, repair and/or replace damaged or worn parts for variety of manufacturers of utility equipment to ensure quality standards within budget, on a variety of vocational / utility trucks and equipment see https://www.customtruck.com/
  • Troubleshoot and repair a variety of medium and heavy-duty trucks such as Freightliner, Peterbilt, Ford.
  • Provide repair and maintenance to diesel engines a strong background in hydraulics and electrical is a plus.
  • Perform maintenance/emergency repairs on the fuel, brake, electrical and transmission systems.
  • Assess, diagnose, repair and/or replace damaged or worn parts for variety of manufacturers of utility equipment to ensure quality standards are achieved.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate records of parts, services and labor to track costs so vehicles can be properly priced and reflect the value of quality offered by the company.
  • Submit all work/repair orders as required to a supervisor for approval to ensure budgets are maintained and costs of vehicle repairs accurately reflected.
  • Perform all duties in in accordance with best practices for a safe work environment
  • Attend monthly safety meetings held by Custom Truck One Source.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • High school diploma or the equivalent
  • Vocational Technical School or Military Wheeled Mechanic or related training a plus
  • Must hold a valid driver’s license
  • Must have your own tools
