Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dependable Home Health Aide (HHA) to join our team. This position is ideal for someone who is available to work full-time day shifts on weekdays (Monday–Friday). You will work directly with patients in their homes, following individualized care plans and providing quality personal care and companionship.
The ideal candidate has a caring attitude, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to helping patients maintain their independence and quality of life. Prior Home Health or Hospice experience is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Assist patients with daily living activities, including transfers, mobility, bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Help patients move safely in and out of beds, wheelchairs, and vehicles
- Perform light housekeeping duties, including laundry, changing bed linens, and maintaining a clean living environment
- Monitor and document patient care, condition, progress, and any concerns to report to the supervising nurse or agency
- Provide companionship and emotional support through conversation and engagement in activities
- Remind patients to take medications as directed according to the care plan
- Assist patients with prescribed exercises and other activities that promote well-being
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Home Health Aide program
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum of one (1) year of professional caregiving experience preferred
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required
- Current CPR certification required
- Must be available to work full-time weekday day shifts
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and provide compassionate, patient-centered care
