Position Objective

The Industrial Maintenance Technician position is responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain Die Cast and other facility equipment according to safety, predictive and preventative maintenance systems and processes.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Excellent attendance, focused and engaged.
  • Follow written and verbal work instructions for the designated job.
  • Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machines and the plant facility’s equipment.
  • Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and perform scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service.
  • Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines.
  • Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
  • Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments.
  • Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment and plant facilities.
  • Perform a variety of simple plumbing maintenance and carpentry functions.
  • Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties.
  • Detect faulty operations, defective material and report those and any unusual situations to management.
  • Comply with safety regulations.
  • Maintain clean and orderly work areas.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Working Conditions

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. 
  • Employee is standing, walking, bending, and stooping approximately 95% of the time.
  • Employee is working without air conditioning in an area that can be extremely warm at times.
  • Employee must be able to lift 50 pounds and be able to move from machine to machine.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing during entire shift. 
  • Physically capable of lifting, pushing/pulling, and moving objects up to 50 pounds routinely.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Education and Training

  • 2 years of manufacturing experience in an industrial maintenance role preferred.
  • Demonstrated skills, ability and knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and industrial maintenance preferred.
  • An AA degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance is preferred.

7 AM to 3 PM
40 Hour Work week
