Description

Are you detail-oriented with a passion for building?

We are looking for a focused and conscientious Cabinet Assembler to join our production team. If you are someone who takes pride in "doing it right the first time" and enjoys working with your hands, we want to talk to you.

While we are happy to train candidates on our specific assembly processes, the ideal team member is someone who naturally spots small errors before they happen and values high-quality craftsmanship.

Your Role & Responsibilities

You will be responsible for taking components and assembling them into high-quality finished cabinets. You’ll be the final set of eyes on the product before it reaches our customers.

  • Precision Assembly: Use nail guns and small hand tools to assemble cabinets according to specific work orders.
  • Quality Control: Verify that every piece matches the order specifications and inspect finished work for defects.
  • Attention to detail: Read and interpret manufacturer assembly instructions and work orders.
  • Packing & Prep: Securely package completed products for safe delivery.
  • Workspace Ownership: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area; restock materials as needed.

Requirements

What You Bring to the Table

  • The "Accuracy Factor": You have a high level of dexterity and hand-eye coordination. You are comfortable working with small parts and tools where precision is required.
  • Reliability: You are a self-starter who can work independently and meet deadlines without sacrificing quality.
  • Technical Aptitude: Experience with hand and power tools (hammers, screwdrivers, drills, etc.) is preferred.
  • Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for an 8-hour shift and frequently lift/pull 50+ lbs.
  • Communication: Ability to read and write in English to process work orders and communicate effectively with the team.
  • Background: 1 year of experience in woodworking or a similar assembly role is a plus, but not required if you have the right mindset.

Why Join Us?

  • Competitive Pay: Starting at $20.00–$22.00/hr based on experience.
  • Full Benefits: Health, dental, and vision options to keep you and your family covered.
  • Growth: We provide the tools and training you need to build a career in manufacturing or many of the other opportunities within The Norfolk Companies family of businesses.
