Summary/Objective:

The Pigging and Decoking Operators provide support to refineries, petrochemical facilities and
associated industrial complexes by cleaning pipes and pipelines by means of hydraulically
propelling a mechanical pig through the line. The Pigging and Decoking Operator will adhere to
all OSHA safely rules and regulation and be part of a decoking/pigging crew to ensure the
success of the job by using best practices.

 Responsibilities:

• Safely mobilize equipment to and from client sites, company stations, and other
  facilities as directed.
  • Set up and operate specialty pigging equipment to clean systems at facilities.
  • Provide mechanical troubleshooting support in the field to ensure pigging equipment
  maintains operable.
  • Provide mechanical support in the shop to repair and maintain equipment.
  • Ensure completion of accurate paperwork pertaining to execution of scope of work to
  provide the client with accurate records of operation.
  • Proactively ensure that all personal training requirements are met and maintained.
  • Maintain open and truthful dialogue with Supervisors, Project Managers and Operations
  Manager to ensure understanding of scope of work and job readiness.
  • Haul hoses, PPE, and tools to where the work is being done.
  • Complete required paperwork for projects and jobs.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1+ year of industrial experience, preferred
• Valid Class A CDL license.
• TWIC Card required.
• Ability to pass a DOT physical
• Willing and able to travel extensively and stay out of town for weeks at a time

• Must be comfortable working as part of a field crew and assisting with rigging in hoses and piping

• Willing to learn and operate Pigging & Decoking equipment
• Strong work ethic, safety-minded, and team-oriented
• Mechanically inclined.
• Welding and fabrication experience would be an asset 
• Onsite training will be provided but any knowledge of cleaning heaters, boilers and pipelines is considered an asset

Physical Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED
• Perform physically demanding work including climbing multiple flights of stairs and
carrying equipment (able to lift to 50 pounds on a regular basis)
• Work outdoors in harsh weather conditions
• Physically able to handle large tools.
• Required to work at elevations and wear fall protection harnesses.
• Must be able to climb on and off the equipment, ascend and descend a ladder.
• Should not have a fear of heights. Ability to work in confined spaces, stand or walk for
long periods and able to stand, kneel or crawl.
