Summary / Objective

The Maintenance Operations Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing maintenance activities to ensure equipment reliability, operational efficiency, and safe project execution. This role oversees maintenance personnel, equipment readiness, preventive maintenance programs, repair schedules, and customer support while maintaining the highest safety standards.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage daily maintenance operations for company equipment and assets.
  • Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
  • Coordinate equipment inspections, repairs, and downtime scheduling.
  • Ensure maintenance activities are completed safely, on time, and within budget.
  • Manage maintenance supervisors, technicians, and contractors.
  • Track equipment performance, repair costs, and maintenance metrics.
  • Coordinate equipment rentals, mobilizations, and demobilizations for ongoing projects.
  • Maintain an accurate schedule of equipment availability and locations.
  • Work closely with Operations Managers, Supervisors, and Project Managers to forecast equipment needs.
  • Track equipment utilization and identify opportunities to increase efficiency.
  • Maintain compliance with company, customer, and regulatory safety requirements.
  • Support field operations by ensuring equipment availability and reliability.
  • Develop maintenance procedures, work instructions, and equipment standards.
  • Partner with operations teams to prioritize repairs and equipment readiness.
  • Prepare reports for leadership regarding equipment status, maintenance costs, and reliability trends.
  • Promote a culture of safety, accountability, training, and continuous improvement

 

 

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma required; Technical Degree or related certification preferred.
  • 5+ years of industrial maintenance leadership experience.
  • Strong knowledge of vacuum trucks, hydroblasting equipment, pumps, trailers, heavy equipment, and support assets.
  • Experience managing preventive maintenance systems and maintenance personnel.
  • Ability to travel as needed and respond to equipment emergencies.
  • Valid Driver's License and TWIC preferred.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills and maintenance tracking experience.
  • Demonstrated leadership, planning, and problem-solving abilities.

  • Must be able to work extended hours and rotational schedules.
  • Refinery Operates 24/7/365 Management staff is required to respond to emergencies
  • Work extended hours which may include evenings, inclement weather, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must be able to work outdoors in varied weather conditions.
