Key Responsibilities
- Manage packaging design projects from layout through final approval, ensuring timelines and deliverables are met.
- Create packaging layouts and artwork in alignment with MAPEI corporate standards and applicable secondary brand guidelines.
- Review, approve, and route packaging proofs through the internal approval process.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Product Line Managers, Purchasing, Operations, and external vendors.
- Incorporate revisions and updates based on stakeholder feedback.
- Prepare final artwork for print production; review proofs and printed samples for accuracy and quality.
- Review vendor-produced packaging and coordinate corrective actions as needed prior to use.
- Partner with Purchasing and vendors to support packaging quality standards and attend press approvals when required.
- Maintain and support packaging design standards, documentation, and reference materials.
- Serve as a backup approver for packaging-related requests in the supervisor’s absence.
- Adhere to all MAPEI policies, safety rules, and work procedures.
- Perform assigned tasks in conformance with procedures and instructions established in the Business Management System (BMS) and in compliance with applicable Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) regulatory requirements.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.

- Associate’s degree (AA) in Art, Design, or a related field, preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and professional experience.Â
- Minimum: High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Four to five (4–5) years of experience in packaging design, textbook layout, or desktop publishing.Â
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Acrobat. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Ability to work in both Windows and Apple Mac environments.Â
- Familiarity with electronic proofing systems and digital production workflows.
- Ability to distinguish between zones of color, which is an essential function of the position.
