Responsibilities
- Follows all company safety and sanitation policies and  procedural training
- Support fellow employees in maintaining table appearance, food/drink running, etc. as needed
- Be knowledgeable regarding Food & Beverage menus and items, current food and/or drink promotions and specials, and answer guests’ questions verbally and clearly              Â
- Accurately write down guests’ orders and enter into POS system, in a timely manner
- Retrieve food or drink orders from kitchen or bar area, and deliver them to guests in a timely manner             Â
- Ability to assess guests’ demeanor and identify when to summon a Manager
- Collect guests’ payments (credit cards, cash, or gift cards only), ensure transactions are correct using POS efficiently, calculate and deliver correct change to guests in a timely manner
- Perform shift changes, opening/closing duties, assigned sidework              Â
- Restock and maintain restroom cleanliness for guests             Â
Qualifications
- Can physically stand/walk 100% of shift             Â
- Can reach, bend, stoop frequently             Â
- Able to deliver plates, and clear tables of plates and glasses, which may require lifting up to 50 lbs
- Ability to speak, read and write English            Â
- Ability to read and write handwritten guest checks, notes, etc             Â
- Complete and pass Florida Responsible Vendor program, in compliance with Whale's Rib and Florida statutes          Â
- Complete and pass food safety certification program, in compliance with Whale's Rib and Florida statutes
