We are looking to bring on an experienced LCSW-C to join our team at the Midlothian: Richmond, VA location as a Clinical Supervisor!
The perfect candidate will be comfortable seeing 20 clients per week, while providing supervision to a team of resident therapists.

The ideal candidate will:
- Be a self-starter comfortable working in a high-paced and changing start-up clinic environment.
- Have a strong resume with at least 1-2 years of experience working in a fee-for-service private practice clinical supervisor-level role.
- Have experience providing clinical supervision to LMSW therapist
- Be comfortable maintaining a weekly patient load of 18 patients.
- Be looking for long-term stability and growth with a locally based company.
- Thrive in a performance-based compensation environment.
Required Skills/Abilities
- Master’s degree with current licensure in the state of Virginia as an LCSW and a Virginia Board Approved Supervisor.
- Available to be on-site to provide oversite to clinical staff and see patients in Midlothian: Richmond, Va.
- Strong working knowledge of state requirements regulating mental health practice.
Tasks & Responsibilities
Hiring, Training, and Staff Management
Hiring, Training, and Staff Management
- Provide training for clinic new hires, ensuring all required clinical and operational policies and procedures are taught and followed.
- Hold staff accountable for meeting performance expectations.
- Manage staff performance, including implementing Performance Coaching, Performance Improvement Plans, and termination process as needed.
- Create an office culture that fosters collaboration, inclusion, and growth.
Supervision and Consultation
- Be responsible for the overall performance and management of the clinicÂ
- Accountable for clinic productivity and performance, using data to monitor and drive decisions
- Provide clinical oversight to the clinic’s Mental Health Practitioners and Professionals, including signing clinical documentation for pre-licensed providers.
- Provide 1:1 consultation with all therapy staff to review productivity, caseload, and clinical documentation
Client Care
- Evaluate mental health diagnosis, create, and implement a treatment plan, complete ongoing documentation including further diagnosis, treatment plan reviews, and case notes according to company policyÂ
- Utilize creativity in interventions to help clients achieve and exceed goalsÂ
- Prepare and submit individual documentation for each session per company guidelines and protocolÂ
- Coordinate services with case managers, families, work personnel, medical personnel, other Ellie staff, and school staff as neededÂ
Clinic Oversight
- Collaborate with the franchise owner and Ellie Mental Health corporate staff (as needed) to implement strategies for fiscal and clinical efficiency.Â
- Monitor and manage clinic office schedules and office supplies.Â
- Respond promptly to concerns raised by clients, clinicians, or external stakeholders.Â
- Serve as point of contact for building management-related issues or concerns.Â
Clinic Outreach, Marketing, and Networking
- Participate and lead clinic’s community outreach and engagement efforts, in collaboration with the franchise owner and consistent with guidance from Ellie Outreach Team.
- Collaborate with Ellie's Marketing Team to promote the clinic’s online visibility.Â
