The Storeroom Clerk oversees the Bellwood storeroom operations, including receiving, storing, delivering, and shipping activities supporting the maintenance and manufacturing operations. Manage maintenance parts, supplies, tools, equipment, oils, fuel, and services while ensuring policy/procedure compliance, accuracy, and timely execution.

Pay:                    $25.60 hour

Department:      Maintenance           

Schedule/Shift: 7am – 7pm or 7pm – 7am on 2-3-2 work schedule

 

What you will do:

  • Check materials received against purchase order; unloads, unpacks and checks material for quality and condition. Note discrepancies and damage to carrier’s agent and has agent sign delivery slip.
  • Load and unload pallets of plant operating material at designated areas. Also, load trucks to send repairable items out.
  • Notify proper parties when material is received, segregates material as necessary and notify supervisor of any discrepancies in materials received. Responsible for shortages in signed bills of lading and weights to verify as necessary.
  • Apply received materials to storage, stocks and marks bins making necessary changes in asset management system. Tag stores items and inventory numbers.
  • Operate a fork truck in and out of the storeroom to load and unload shelves, trucks, and to make in-plant deliveries. Fuel and maintain fluid levels in vehicles as required.
  • Will occasionally operate the overhead crane in the storeroom to place the saw blades onto the rack.
  • Notify supervisor of defective operating equipment. Once service request is created, deliver equipment to designated area for servicing.
  • Process daily cycle counts in asset management system.
  • Utilize online systems to perform any aspect of receiving, issuing, storing, inventory material supply order activity or distribution functions.
  • Perform functions such as filing, typing, recording, handling phone calls, copying, etc.
  • Keep work area in clean and orderly condition.
Qualifications

  • Good analytical skills; able to assess processes and priorities.

  • Strong customer focus; reliability in meeting commitments.
  • Team-player aptitude with ability to collaborate across functions.
  • Effective decision‑making and multi‑tasking abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft (Visio, Word and Excel) and asset management systems.
