About the Role:
Consolitech International LLC is looking for a skilled Sheet Metal Fabrication Technician to join our team in North Chesterfield, VA. This is a hands-on role where your craftsmanship and precision will directly contribute to high-quality metal fabrication products. Responsibilities:
- Operate plasma machine
- Read and interpret technical drawings, and work orders to fabricate sheet metal components
- Operate fabrication equipment including shears, press brakes, rollers, and punch presses
- Measure, cut, bend, and shape sheet metal to specified dimensions and tolerances
- Perform MIG, TIG, or spot welding as required for assembly and fabrication
- Inspect finished parts for quality, accuracy, and compliance with specifications
- Maintain and perform routine maintenance on fabrication machinery and tools
- Follow all shop safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work area
Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience in sheet metal fabrication or a related manufacturing role
- Proficiency with fabrication equipment such as press brakes, shears, and CNC machinery
- Ability to read and interpret duct drawings
- Experience with welding techniques (MIG, TIG, or spot welding) is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work
- Ability to use precision measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers
- Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work effectively in a team environment
