Deerfield Supportive Living is seeking a dependable and compassionate Dietary Aide to join our dining services team. In this role, you will assist with preparing and serving nutritious, high-quality meals while creating a warm and welcoming dining experience for our residents. If you enjoy working with older adults and take pride in providing excellent customer service, we'd love to meet you!

Responsibilities

  • Assist with meal preparation, plating, and food service

  • Serve meals according to resident dietary needs and preferences

  • Wash dishes, sanitize equipment, and maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment

  • Follow all food safety, sanitation, and infection control guidelines

  • Assist with receiving, storing, and organizing food and kitchen supplies

  • Support inventory management and notify supervisors when supplies need to be replenished

  • Work collaboratively with the dietary team to ensure efficient meal service

  • Provide friendly, respectful, and compassionate service to residents, families, and visitors

  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Previous food service, restaurant, or healthcare experience preferred

  • Ability to read and follow recipes and dietary instructions

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in senior living, assisted living, nursing home, or healthcare settings

  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices

  • Experience serving individuals with specialized dietary needs
