Summary Description
The Alloyd Technician I is responsible for safely operating vacuum and pressure thermoforming machines to produce high-quality blister packaging. This role focuses on machine setup, tooling changeovers, quality control, and maintaining efficient production flow.
What You’ll Be Doing
Follow all safety protocols and maintain a safe, organized work environment
Verify job orders, materials, and tooling meet customer specifications
Retrieve, inspect, and prepare tooling components for production
Perform machine changeovers and make necessary adjustments
Fine-tune press settings to ensure high-quality output
Record production data including setup, teardown, and quality checks
Work closely with packers to maintain product quality standards
Perform minor maintenance and troubleshoot equipment issues
Maintain housekeeping standards in the thermoforming area
Support reclaim quality checks and follow reclaim procedures
We’d Love to Hear From You If
You have experience operating machinery, including setup, changeovers, and troubleshooting
You have a strong mechanical aptitude and enjoy hands-on work
You are detail-oriented and quality-focused
You work well in a team environment and communicate effectively
You have experience in thermoforming, injection molding, or manufacturing (preferred)
Required Skills & Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
Experience using hand tools such as micrometers, calipers, and dial indicators
Basic math and measurement skills
Ability to read, write, and communicate clearly in English
Willingness to learn and follow technical procedures
Physical Requirements
Ability to operate thermoforming equipment safely
Lift and move tools weighing 45–65 lbs
Push/pull up to 60 lbs at chest or waist height
Stand for extended periods (8+ hours)
Comfortable working in heat, humidity, and production environments
Ability to work around typical manufacturing hazards
