Description

Helping someone move into a senior living community isn’t just logistics - it’s one of the biggest life transitions a family will make.

At Oak Crest, we believe that transition should feel thoughtful, organized, and welcoming.

We’re looking for someone who loves coordinating details, supporting families, and creating meaningful first impressions to help guide new residents through their move-in journey and early weeks in the community.

Why People Love Working at Oak Crest

  • Mission-driven nonprofit culture
  • Collaborative leadership team
  • Stable, respected community with strong local reputation
  • Opportunity to build real relationships with residents and families
  • A role that blends organization, hospitality, and meaningful impact

Oak Crest is a locally rooted nonprofit senior living community in DeKalb - not a corporate chain. Our focus is simple: creating a place where residents feel at home and employees feel proud of the work they do. You’ll help create the first impression residents have of life at Oak Crest - and help them feel truly welcomed.

What You’ll Do

You’ll help ensure every new resident transition is smooth, organized, and welcoming.

Your work will include:

  • Supporting tours, follow-up communication, and maintaining prospect records
  • Tracking upcoming move-ins and coordinating timelines across departments
  • Serving as the main point of contact for new residents and families during their transition
  • Coordinating move-in logistics and helping families prepare for the move
  • Partnering with housekeeping, maintenance, dining, activities, and nursing teams to prepare for new residents
  • Welcoming residents on move-in day and helping them get connected in the community
  • Conducting follow-ups during the first weeks to ensure a smooth transition
  • Supporting marketing efforts, events, and outreach initiatives

In short: you help turn a stressful transition into a warm welcome.

Benefits

  • Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, and Short-Term Disability
  • 403(b) with employer match
  • Paid Time Off
  • Employee Assistance Program
  • Referral Bonus Program

Compensation & Schedule

  • Pay Range: $24.00 – $32.00/hour (based on experience)

Position: Full-time, hourly (non-exempt)

Requirements

Qualifications

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, hospitality, social work, gerontology, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in senior living, healthcare coordination, hospitality, or customer relationship management
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills
  • Comfort working with older adults and families during major life transitions
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM or resident management systems
  • Experience in senior living is helpful - but people who thrive in hospitality, care coordination, or relationship-driven roles often do very well in this position.
