Job DetailsJob Location: Poynette - Poynette, WI 53955Position Type: Full TimeEducation Level: 2 Year DegreeJob Category: ManagementThe Branch Manager, BM, will report directly to the Director of Truck Centers. They will be required to work on the floor and in the office during their assigned shift. Understanding and guiding mechanics, service writers and customers are essential skills that must be developed and maintained. The BM is required to cover any open shifts that cannot be covered and work nights and weekends, as needed to ensure proper oversight or coverage of the shop. Branch Managers promote sales growth, conduct training, exhibit, and coach outstanding customer service, demonstrate a high sense of urgency, maintain a clean and safe facility, and ALWAYS do what’s right for our employees. • Maintain the Rocky Mountain promise in everything you do • Enforce all company policy • Monitor tech efficiency/productivity to correct deficiencies as needed. • Managing your payroll budget is priority. Ensure you are staffed accordingly, per the needs of the shop and seasonal traffic, limiting overtime. • Work with Breakdown Department to assist with 24/7coverage on road service • Parts Inventory, ordering with monthly and yearly counts. • Purchasing of inventory (submitting of inventory request) • Hit and track revenue and profitability goals outlined in monthly KPIs • Coordinate with vendors quarterly training for technicians • Assist the Recruiter with staffing all aspects of the shop’s needs. • The Branch Manager is liaison between corporate headquarters and local staff • Perform and enforce quality check process on all repairs • Prepare and submit all daily financial documents to corporate accounting department, Cash Drawer • Achieve and maintain employee classifications, know your employees, communicate with each one on a weekly basis, positive reinforcement, and training to improve retention of personal and promote growth. • Perform 90-day performance evaluation and drive employees through performance review program • Perform daily auditing of work order creation and invoicing, to include nights and weekends shift to correct deficiencies with constant training, you should ALWAYS know what is happening in the shop. • Successfully interpret customers concerns and give clear instruction to technicians • Ensure that every truck gets a report card inspection and findings are recommended to customer to increase revenue and profitability, this will be done during the diagnostic part of the repair. • Ensure that customer satisfaction is at the highest possible level • Perform call grading on Service Writer regularly to ensure quality customer service. • Procurement of all shop supplies, controlling the cost of stocking the shop Create a cohesive team while retaining staff and improving the team’s overall performance • Make recommendations on parts inventory/tire inventory and filter trends • Ensure professional shop and office environment uphold, respect, control and build a team that is a customer service-oriented staff • Responsible of all job training aspects of the shop, Assistant Manager, Service Writers and Technicians • Always sell Rocky Mountain Companies to customers, techs, and support staff keeping a positive outlook with staff about Rocky Mtn Company policy and procedure • Ensure proper maintenance and repairs are done to company vehicles, equipment etc. in a timely manner • Ensure all vehicles are DOT compliant • Ensure dress code and company image are held and displayed in highest regards and with respect • Maintain all MSDS books, eye wash stations, first aid and the like all work environments are safe and clean • Conduct Daily 10-minute shift huddles with staff • Conduct Monthly safety meetings with staff • Mangers ensure, new hire and DOT paperwork is filed out and maintained to company policy • Drug testing policies are enforced • Ensure OSHA standards and company environmental policies are enforced • Maintain facility, recommend, and notify operations of facility issues and structural issues • Work with sales manager to create a successful sales program, through lead generation, communication, and transparency • Prepare for Monthly Reporting requirements prior to the calls. Continually monitor monthly and quarterly goals to ensure shop success. This role is an on-site full-time managerial/leader position. Your hours could exceed 70-hrs. per week depending on the needs of the shop, staffing, weather or illness, this time is included in your salary. Proper management of time and resources will reduce these hours. Normal manager hours if the shop is managed properly will be between 40-50 hours per week. Critical Thinking/Repair Management – Understanding all repairs and how they can be balanced in a manner to be completed in a timely fashion. This is accomplished through timely communication with the technicians, drivers, and owners to include any changes to the repair that might arise. This is not optional. Updating the authorization tab in each WO is required on ALL repair orders. Qualifications
