Cinemark Assistant Managers assist in the overall operation of the theatre. They ensure policies and procedures are being followed and operational standards are achieved. They are cross trained in all departments to support where needed, and to provide inspirational training to all Employees. The Assistant Manager can become a Senior Assistant Manager followed by Theatre Manager or General Manager after finishing the Management Accreditation Program and working for a minimum of six months. Responsibilities include following the direction of the General Manager, supporting General Manager’s decisions in communication with the staff, working in all departments and all theatre job functions, training and coaching Team Members, assisting in preparation of reports, inspecting theatre building and property, reporting repair needs, ensuring dress code compliance, interacting with Guests for improved service, enforcing policies and procedures, reporting Employee relations issues, maintaining high work ethic and code of conduct, sanitizing high-contact areas, using Personal Protective Equipment, addressing safety or security issues, and performing other duties as assigned. Requirements include being at least 18 years old, preferably a High School or G.E.D. graduate, completion of three basic courses within Cinemark’s Management Accreditation Program, basic food handling training and certifications as required, Safe Alcohol Service training if working with alcohol, availability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays, regular attendance, energetic and friendly attitude, excellent Guest service, accurate cash handling and math skills, good interpersonal and communication skills in English, ability to work independently and in a team, ability to take direction, urgency in response, excellent time management and organizational skills, ability to train and lead others, and conflict resolution skills. Physical requirements include frequent bending, kneeling, lifting up to 50 lbs, standing, walking, and reaching around the theater, and working in moderate to high noise levels.
