Responsibilities

  • Leads, guides, and/or trains custodians in applicable procedures and techniques.
  • Dusts
  • Mops Floors
  • Vacuum Carpets
  • Cleans Restrooms and restocks paper and soap supplies.
  • Empties trash receptacles and bags trash for proper disposal.
  • Locks doors after cleaning areas. 
  • Ensures proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies; promotes continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices.
  • Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED. 
  • Must be able to work weekends.
  • Please note that a background check, e-quip, credit check, and drug screening must be passed for this role. The e-quip process can take up to 6 months to finalize. Favorable E-quip results must be in before the candidate is able to start. 
  • Valid Texas Drivers’ License Class C.

 Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of custodial practices, machinery, and related equipment.
  • Ability to understand verbal instructions.
  • Ability to operate vacuums and other related equipment.
  • Ability to understand and follow safety procedures.
  • Ability to safely use cleaning equipment and supplies.
  • Ability to lead and train.
  • Ability to lift and manipulate heavy objects.
  • Ability to understand, follow, and enforce safety procedures.
  • Ability to foster a cooperative work environment.
  • Ability to understand written and verbal communications.
