OVERVIEW

The Material Control Specialist oversees the receiving, storage, tracking, and distribution of raw product and packaging materials for Production. This role supports inventory accuracy through counts, audits, data validation, discrepancy resolution, and coordination with Production, Warehouse, Planning, Raw Receiving, Plant Management, and IT. 

Duties:

  • Own daily inventory counts, cycle counts, and physical inventory audits to maintain accuracy.
  • Investigate shortages, damages, rejections, and other discrepancies; implement solutions to reduce inventory inaccuracies.
  • Analyze inventory data, identify trends, and report inventory levels and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Scan product tags for Production Runs and validate issued product, finished product, and transfers in Parity Factory.
  • Learn and support inventory processes within Parity Factory; partner with IT on system concerns and performance.
  • Collaborate with Warehouse Staff, Planning, Raw Receiving, and Plant Management to maintain organized, safe, and efficient storage areas.
  • Work closely with the IT department on any Parity concerns, issues, and Parity performance.
  • Performs data entry into various programs and/or databases to support accurate and timely

    tracking and reporting of plant Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in warehousing, logistics, inventory management, or production scheduling preferred.
  • Ability to use inventory systems, complete accurate data entry, and communicate effectively across departments
