Horizon Forest Products is the distributor of Impressions Flooring Collection and offers customers over 75 years of industry experience and one of the most comprehensive inventories of pre-finished and unfinished hardwood flooring, floor equipment, abrasives, finishes, fasteners, and accessories in the mid-Atlantic and Texas region.

 

We are searching for an energetic individual to receive and stock merchandise to and from our warehouse. You will receive and process incoming flooring bundles, sundries, and materials, pick and fill orders and organize the warehouse.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Performing warehouse inventory controls
  • Ensure cleanliness, tidiness, and safety of working environment
  • Prepare orders by processing requests, pulling materials, and placing near delivery area
  • Optimize space utilization within the warehouse
  • Perform daily pre-shift inspections on forklifts, alerting Ops manager to any maintenance, damage, or mechanical issues
  • Safely operate forklifts by following the safe driving standards set forth by WP
  • Unload inbound freight, verify accuracy, and place in correct stocking location
  • Maintain current forklift certifications and follow all WP safety protocols
  • Maintain logbooks and other documentation as set forth by either the DOT or WP
  • Perform other duties as directed by the Ops manager

Skills and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Good organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to lift heavy objects
  • Ability to operate forklift
  • Comply with all safety rules, regulations, policies, and procedures
  • Able to pass a background check and drug test
