POSITION SUMMARY 

A skilled professional responsible for fabricating and welding metal components using various welding techniques. Works independently from blueprints, models, and prints to assemble parts with precision. This role plays a key part in prototyping playground equipment—no matter how small or large the final structure—ensuring every weld supports safe, durable, and imaginative play spaces for kids.


Hours: M-F, 5:00 A.M. - 1:30 P.M.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Set up and operate welding equipment using appropriate methods
  • Prepare and align metal surfaces for welding
  • Weld components in multiple positions using manual or semi-automatic tools
  • Monitor weld quality and prevent defects
  • Inspect joints to ensure compliance with standards
  • Perform finishing tasks like grinding and polishing
  • Maintain equipment and follow safety protocols
  • Collaborate with team members to meet project goals

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Fitting certification/experience is required.
  • Proficiency in various welding techniques (MIG) and product setup.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Strong attention to detail and precision in fitting and welding.
  • Able to lift 50 pounds.
  • High school diploma/GED preferred

The target hourly range is $23.00 - $30.00, depending upon qualifications and experience. The posted pay range reflects the expected compensation for a fully qualified candidate. Starting pay may be above or below this range based on job-related factors such as skills, experience, qualifications, and training needs. 

In addition to hourly pay, the compensation package also includes eligibility for profit-sharing and monthly bonus opportunity.
