Job Description:

Your Impact in This Role

As a Mechanic, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

Qualifications and Requirements


 

  • Maintenance spare parts inventory and order parts as needed
  • Perform general preventative maintenance and repairs on facility machinery and equipment
  • Troubleshoot and repair basic electrical issues and pneumatic valves
  • Weld, fabricate and patch steel components as needed
  • Rig and install motors, conveyor pulleys, and other heavy machinery
  • Maintain and back up sorting computer software and parameters
  • Complete daily maintenance logs and manage preventative Maintenance programs
  • Communicate equipment issues across shifts and support team efforts
  • Provide on the job training to new employees and serve as backup for other technicians

To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following. 

  •  High School Diploma/GED preferred 
  • Ability to manage time and prioritize effectively 
  • Team player, able to lead and contribute to a team effort  
  • Excellent communication and people skills 
  • Analytical problem solving and troubleshooting skills 
  • Able to work safely and efficiently  
  • Ability to read mechanical and electrical drawings and schematics preferred 
  • Glass processing knowledge is a plus
