The Role
The Diesel Mechanic performs diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on diesel trucks and equipment ranging from light-duty to heavy-duty applications. This role works on a variety of mechanical and electrical systems and plays an important part in keeping customer vehicles operating safely and efficiently. This is primarily a shop-based position offering hands-on variety, steady work, and the opportunity to work alongside an experienced team in a collaborative environment.


What You’ll Do
• Diagnose and repair diesel engines and related mechanical systems
• Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, and routine service work
• Complete bumper-to-bumper repairs on light, medium, and heavy-duty vehicles
• Troubleshoot electrical systems and mechanical issues
• Perform brake, clutch, drivetrain, and transmission repairs
• Remove and install differentials and related components
• Maintain accurate repair documentation and communicate repair progress with the team
• Keep tools, equipment, and work areas clean and organized while following shop safety procedures


What We’re Looking For
Required Qualifications
• Experience performing diesel vehicle or equipment maintenance and repairs
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
• Experience working with diesel engines and related systems
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with a team
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to prioritize work and manage multiple repair tasks safely and efficiently
• Commitment to quality workmanship and workplace safety


Preferred Qualifications
• 2+ years of diesel mechanic experience
• Associate degree in Diesel Technology or related training
• Experience with electrical diagnostics and troubleshooting
• Experience working on light, medium, and heavy-duty vehicles
