Position Overview: Ready Mix Drivers play a crucial role in our operations by operating heavy-duty gasoline or diesel-powered tandem, rear axle, or single unit vehicles to transport ready-mix, aggregate, water, materials, and equipment.

Responsibilities:

Conduct pre-trip inspections to ensure the mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment is in good working order.
Communicate with customers and dispatch regarding product delivery and other important information.
Safely deliver products to project locations in a timely manner.
Perform routine maintenance and adjustments on equipment as needed.
Secure items for transport and maintain proper load balance.
Complete daily driver inspections and promptly report any issues to supervisors or fleet managers.
Maintain accurate truck logs in compliance with government regulations.
Inspect and maintain truck and construction equipment.
Operate hand and power tools as necessary.
Adhere to Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations and participate in Company-wide safety goals.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Must be 18 years of age.
Valid driver's license and good driving record; CDL Class B required.
Tanker endorsement and medical card are optional but useful.
Forklift Operator certification (provided by Dells Materials Company).
Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to follow written and oral instructions.
Ability to work collaboratively with others.
Equipment operator experience is helpful.
Availability for overtime and weekend work when required.
Position is subject to seasonal winter layoff periods.

Physical Demands & Work Environment:

Regular standing and frequent walking.
Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds frequently and occasionally more than 100 pounds.
Multiple entries and exits from trucks/equipment during the day.
Vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Exposure to moving mechanical parts, outdoor weather conditions, and loud noise.
Occasional exposure to high places, wet/humid conditions, fumes, airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, extreme cold/heat, risk of electrical shock, and vibration.
