Assembler (Part-Time)

Job Summary: Spectrum Control is a leading provider of advanced, high-reliability electronics and semiconductor solutions supporting aerospace, defense, and other mission-critical applications. We are seeking a detail-oriented part-time Assembler (20 hours/week) to join our manufacturing team and help build precision components that make a real impact.

About the Role

As an Assembler, you will follow established procedures, drawings, and work instructions to assemble electronic and electromechanical products. This is a hands-on role that requires accuracy, focus, and a commitment to quality in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

What You’ll Do

  • Interpret and follow assembly procedures, mechanical drawings, part lists, and work instructions.
  • Use basic electronic measurement devices, manufacturing tools, assembly fixtures, and hand tools.
  • Assemble and test basic products to meet specifications and strict quality standards.
  • Work with small, delicate components using tools and fixtures designed to prevent damage and ensure repeatability.
  • Follow established budgets and production timelines to complete assigned work on schedule.
  • Maintain an organized, safe work area and support team-based continuous improvement efforts.

What You Bring

  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: 0–2 years of assembly experience (electronic/electromechanical preferred).
  • Technical Experience:
    • Soldering small components
    • Working with a hot plate for bonding or component prep
    • Using a microscope to assemble RF products and inspect once completed
  • Strong manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
  • Ability to read and follow drawings, instructions, and documented procedures.
  • High attention to detail, reliability, and a commitment to producing quality work.
  • OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
