About Us

Kessen Veterinary Clinic is a well established mixed animal practice in Delphos, Ohio, proudly serving the community with exceptional care for companion animals and horses. While our practice offers both small animal and equine services, this Licensed Veterinary Technician position will primarily support our companion animal team. We are committed to providing high quality medicine in a collaborative environment where our team members are empowered to grow, learn, and make a meaningful impact on the lives of pets and their families.

Qualifications

  • Current Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) credential in the state of Ohio required.

  • Degree from an AVMA accredited Veterinary Technology program.

  • Strong animal handling skills and knowledge of clinical procedures.

  • Experience monitoring anesthesia, assisting with surgery and dentistry, performing laboratory diagnostics, and providing patient nursing care.

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

  • Passion for delivering exceptional patient care and client education.

Responsibilities

  • Assist veterinarians with examinations, treatments, surgical procedures, and dentistry.

  • Safely handle and restrain patients while administering medications, vaccines, and treatments.

  • Monitor anesthesia and provide attentive patient care before, during, and after procedures.

  • Collect laboratory samples, perform in house diagnostics, and maintain accurate medical records.

  • Educate clients on preventive care, medications, treatment plans, and discharge instructions.

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient hospital environment.

  • Collaborate with the entire veterinary team to provide exceptional patient care and client service.
