About the Job
We are seeking a motivated and knowledgeable Personal Trainer/Fitness Instructor to join the team at The Seagate Country Club. This role is responsible for delivering personalized fitness programs and exceptional service to members and guests. The ideal candidate is passionate about health and wellness, skilled at motivating individuals, and committed to creating a positive and engaging fitness environment through both private and group training sessions.
What You Do:
- Conduct private and group fitness training sessions tailored to members’ individual goals and fitness levels
- Assess member fitness levels and track progress to develop effective training programs
- Design engaging, results-driven exercise routines that support member wellness goals
- Provide exceptional member service by offering guidance, motivation, and support during training sessions
- Instruct members on proper use of fitness equipment and ensure equipment is adjusted safely and appropriately
- Answer member questions related to fitness techniques, programming, and wellness
- Serve as backup for group fitness classes or lessons when needed
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the fitness studio and workout areas
- Perform routine inspection and cleaning of fitness equipment to ensure safety and functionality
- Monitor facility cleanliness and report maintenance or safety concerns
- Perform other duties as assigned
What You Bring to the Table:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Personal Trainer, preferably in a country club, resort, or luxury fitness environment
- Certification from a nationally recognized fitness organization such as ACSM, NSCA, NASM, or ACE
- Current CPR/AED certification
- Strong knowledge of human anatomy, exercise physiology, and fitness training principles
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills with the ability to build relationships with members and guests
- Ability to motivate individuals and create positive, results-oriented fitness experiences
- Strong teamwork skills and ability to collaborate effectively with the wellness team
- Working knowledge of fitness center equipment and safe training techniques
- Basic computer skills for creating fitness plans and tracking member progress
- Flexibility to work a varied schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 20 pounds overhead
- Ability to work in both indoor and outdoor fitness environments as needed
