About the Job

We are seeking a Spa Retail Supervisor to join our team at The Seagate. This role supports the Spa Assistant Manager/Manager in overseeing daily operations, including appointment management, team supervision, and the execution of key business initiatives. The Spa Retail Supervisor will play a vital role in driving sales, ensuring smooth and efficient operations, and delivering an exceptional guest experience that reflects The Seagate’s luxury standards.

The Spa Retail Supervisor will assist in guiding and motivating the spa team, ensuring policies and procedures are consistently communicated and followed while fostering a positive work environment. Flexibility is essential, as this position requires availability to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and sick coverage.


What You Do:

Customer Experience

  • Assisted management with employee scheduling and daily operational tasks. 
  • Performed daily stock replenishment and managed monthly inventory counts and reporting.
  • Relay maintenance and housekeeping requests to the proper staff members or systems in place
  • Answer phone calls, book appointments accurately 
  • Promote and recommend retail products to our guests 
  • Provide consistent high standards of customer service by greeting and assisting guests according to the spa operation procedures 
  • Maintain a clean and professional appearance 
  • Protect employees and guests by providing a safe and clean spa and fitness environment 
  • Ensure all guest opportunities are dealt with promptly, efficiently and in confidence. Communicating all opportunities to Spa Assistant Manager 
  • Check guests in and out, take payments, run all daily spa reports and confirmations. 
  • Answer a variety of questions from the guests, and handle routine problems. 
  • Ensure that all email enquiries are responded to within 1 business day of receipt, or less.
  • Perform other duties as assigned. 


Sales

  • Achieved sales goals by supporting team sales efforts and delivering excellent guest service. 
  • Built client relationships through community outreach, hotel guest engagement, and client book development. 
  • Maintained retail store presentation by organizing displays, stocking shelves, and ensuring daily tasks were completed. 
  • Received and processed inventory shipments, including stocking, tagging, steaming, and merchandising products. 
  • Operated cash registers, managed cash drawers, and handled opening and closing procedures. 
  • Consistently promote retail sales and services through training, tools and events. 
  • Achieve financial objectives by monitoring treatment bookings, maximizing results in the area of sales, merchandising and operations. 


Managerial Team Assistance

  • Work with the Spa Manager to promote all aspects of the spa facility. 
  • Assist with spa inventories and orders
  • Collaborate with the Spa Manager for all events and promotions 


Team

  • The Spa Retail Supervisor should demonstrate an exceptional level of professionalism for the staff to emulate. Create a motivating environment of sincerity, warmth and fun for staff and guests. 
  • Responsibilities may include balancing spa schedule, training employees, documenting team issues or reporting to departments – People and Culture 
  • Ensure that all staff follow the uniform and grooming guidelines of the spa. 
  • Communicate all hotel team member updates and incentive programs 

Operations

  • Assist in timely opening and closing of the Spa. Working with the security team of the Seagate to facilitate the close of each day in line with company requirements. 
  • Adherence to daily reconciliation of the cash drawer procedures and transfer of cash to the safe. 
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge. 
  • Ensure all staff effectively operate the computer booking and POS system to support accurate bookings and sales. 
  • Observe environmentally friendly practices within the Spa 

Health and Safety


  Ensure health questionnaires are completed prior to administering spa treatments.


What You Bring to the Table:

  • Ability to speak, read, write and understand English
  • Professional demeanor and presentation appropriate for a luxury environment
  • Minimum of two (2) years hotel/spa experience preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal, written/verbal communication, and training skills are essential
  • Positive attitude, team focus, enthusiasm, excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends and holidays, according to department needs and business volumes
  • Highly motivated, organized, goal and results oriented individual who thrives under pressure
  • Ability to stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time
  • Ability to lift/pull up to 50lbs.
