Job Overview: We are seeking skilled Heavy Equipment Operator's to join our team. The ideal candidates will have experience in operating heavy equipment used for logging in high elevation forestry operations. This role requires expertise in logging for full tree operations and cut-to-length harvesting practices with the ability to navigate diverse and steep terrain effectively, ensuring efficient and safe operations. Key Responsibilities: Operate heavy equipment, including but not limited to processors, skidders, feller bunchers, and log loaders, to harvest, process and loadĀ logs efficiently and safely across varied and challenging terrains. Safely navigate steep and uneven ground while operating equipment, demonstrating proficiency in handling machinery in difficult environments. Perform routine maintenance and inspections of equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance. Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies while on the job site. Collaborate with logging teams to coordinate loading operations effectively. Monitor and manage loading processes to optimize productivity and minimize damage to the environment and equipment. Assist in the training of new operators as required. Maintain accurate records of materials handled and equipment usage. Participate in safety meetings and contribute to maintaining a safe working environment. Physical Requirements: Must be able to operate machinery for extended periods. The position requires walking across very uneven and hazardous ground, often in challenging environmental conditions. Ability to climb on and off equipment with vertical rails and ladders in a safe, sound, and efficient manner is essential to perform the required duties. Must be able to lift heavy objects and perform physical activities as needed. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum 10+ Years of proven experience as a Heavy Equipment OperatorĀ in logging or forestry operations. Valid heavy equipment operator's license and endorsements (if applicable). In-depth knowledge of heavy equipment and safety standards. Ability to work in challenging environments, including steep elevations and adverse weather conditions. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions. Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
