Quality Assurance Assistant

At NRI Industrial Sales, safety is our priority. Our job sites have sanitation stations, and regular cleaning is undertaken to ensure the health of our workers.


Position Summary

As a Quality Assurance Assistant, you will be responsible for checking the accuracy and quality of the industrial parts and equipment entered by the auditors and photographers. You will also research the online market value of these items and update the inventory system accordingly.



Essential Functions and Responsibilities include the following:

  • Verify the brand names, model numbers, capacities, and specifications of the parts and equipment in the inventory system
  • Ensure all items are categorized correctly and have clear and accurate pictures and manuals
  • Use keywords and templates to catalog and list the items online
  • Research the selling prices of the used and surplus industrial parts and equipment on various search engines and platforms
  • Enter the product specifications and prices into the different databases
  • Delete inaccurate listings and return items to the auditor for correction
  • Meet production quotas and averages as directed by the manager
  • Follow department policies, procedures, and objectives
  • Perform other duties as assigned



Specific Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Competencies:

  • Effective time management, organizational skills, and attendance
  • Detail oriented and capable of multi-tasking
  • Able to work independently or in a team
  • Able to read and write English
  • Proficient in inventory software, Google and Google Docs, eBay, Microsoft Windows, and Microsoft Office (Required)
  • Knowledgeable in using ruler, calipers, hand tools, scales, and personal computers
  • Familiar with industrial automation equipment, valves, pumps, motors, etc.

  • Work Environment and Physical Requirements:

  • Warehouse Environment, with some outdoor exposure.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. frequently.
  • Requires walking, standing, bending and lifting for long periods of time.
  • Vision abilities required to validate and enter data on a computer.



Position Qualifications

  • Must be able to pass a background check. (Required)
  • Must have a drivers license



Education:

  • HS graduate or equivalent (Required)



Experience:

  • Experience with industrial automation equipment, valves, pumps, motors, etc. preferred
  • Experience with selling on eBay or eCommerce considered an asset 
  • Experience in inventory management
  • Experience in weighing and measuring items
  • Previous forklift experience preferred
