Job Overview: We are seeking a skilled Sawyer/ Arborist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely felling trees, cutting logs/Brush, and performing various chainsaw operator tasks. This role requires a strong understanding of tree species, cutting techniques, and safety protocols. Key Responsibilities: Safely fell trees using chainsaws. Assess tree conditions and determine the best cutting techniques. Trim and cut logs to specified lengths. Maintain and operate chainsaws and other equipment. Follow safety guidelines and wear appropriate protective gear. Clear debris and ensure the work area is safe. Collaborate with team members to complete tasks efficiently. Perform routine maintenance on equipment. Adhere to environmental regulations and company policies. Physical Requirements: Must be able to operate chainsaw for extended periods. The position requires walking across very uneven and hazardous ground, often in challenging environmental conditions. Must be able to lift heavy objects and perform physical activities as needed. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. Proven experience as a Chainsaw Operator, preferably in logging or forestry operations. In-depth knowledge of Sawyer/ Arborist and safety standards. Ability to work in challenging environments, including steep elevations and adverse weather conditions. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
