At NRI Industrial Sales, safety is our priority. Our job sites have sanitation stations, and regular cleaning is undertaken to ensure the health of our workers. Position Summary
As a Warehouse Pre-Processor, your primary responsibility is to ensure a smooth flow of production by preparing items for listing.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities include the following:
- Clean & Dismantle Manufacturing Machines:
- Disassemble manufacturing equipment to prepare it for further processing.
- Ensure cleanliness and proper handling during dismantling.
- Create and Print Pre-SKUs from Computer:
- Generate pre-SKUs (Stock Keeping Units) using computer systems.
- Accurately label items for inventory tracking.
- Unpack and Examine Incoming Shipments:
- Receive and inspect incoming shipments.
- Verify product quality and quantity.
- Identify and Sort Various Types of Metal:
- Recognize different metal materials (e.g., steel, aluminum, copper).
- Organize metals for efficient storage and processing.
- Maintain NRI Standards and Promote Warehouse Safety:
- Adhere to company standards for cleanliness and organization.
- Champion safety practices within the warehouse.
- Complete Daily Tasks Assigned by Supervisors and/or Management:
- Execute assigned tasks promptly and efficiently.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve objectives.
- Operate Equipment Safely:
- Handle various equipment, including cameras, forklifts, standing lifts, rolling ladders, floor scales, and desk scales.
- Prioritize safety during equipment operation.
Specific Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Competencies:
- Effective time management, organizational skills, and outstanding attendance.
- Follow established department policies, procedures, and objectives.
- Detail oriented and capable of multi-tasking.
- Able to work alone or with others to complete tasks.
- Able to read/write English.
Work Environment and Physical Requirements:
- Warehouse Environment with Outdoor Exposure:
- You’ll primarily work indoors within our warehouse facility. However, expect some outdoor exposure during the workday. Be prepared for varying weather conditions.
- Lifting Capacity:
- You should be capable of lifting 50-75 lbs. on a regular basis. This physical demand is essential for handling inventory items efficiently.
- Physical Activities:
- Your role involves:
- Walking: Moving around the warehouse to access different areas.
- Standing: Maintaining an upright position during tasks.
- Bending: Flexibility is necessary for handling items at various heights.
- Lifting: Safely lifting and moving objects.
- Extended Periods: Be prepared for extended periods of standing, walking, and lifting.
- Standard Warehouse Equipment:
- You’ll routinely use and conduct checks on standard warehouse equipment, including:
- Forklifts: Operating forklifts for material handling.
- Pallet Jacks: Maneuvering pallets efficiently.
- Hand Trucks: Transporting goods within the warehouse.
- Box Cutters: Safely opening packages.
- Hand-Held Tools: Utilizing tools as needed.
Position Qualifications
- Successful candidates must pass a background check.
- Background Check is a mandatory part of the hiring process.Â
Education:
- HS graduate or equivalent required
Experience:
- Preferred qualifications include:
- 2 years of previous warehouse experience.
- Familiarity with basic power tools and hand tools.
- Forklift experience is a plus.
- Mechanical inclination is advantageous.
