Texoma Medical Center, a 414-bed acute care facility has been providing quality health care to the residents of North Texas and Southern Oklahoma since 1965. Our main campus is located in Denison, Texas, approximately one hour north of the Dallas/Fort Worth area and just south of the Texas/Oklahoma border. The Certified Sterile Processing Tech performs and participates in decontamination, cleaning, assembling, disassembling, packaging, scanning, sterilization, storage and distribution of reusable surgical instrumentation and equipment. Responsible for inventory and ordering equipment and maintaining appropriate logs in the Sterile Processing department.


Qualifications

Reading and numerical competency

 

Minimum of two (2) years of sterile process experience, hospital experience strongly preferred

 

Sterile Processing Technician Certification from an accredited entity (i.e.) the International Association of Healthcare Central Service Material Management (ISHCSMM).

 

Must be detail oriented. Requires the ability to respond to call within 30 minutes. Proficient communicative, auditory, and visual skills are needed. Attention to detail and ability to write legibly. Basic computer knowledge
