This role involves performing inspections, audits, and testing, as well as supporting training and compliance initiatives. The position may require extended hours based on production needs, including work performed after regular business hours and on weekends.   Essential Duties and Responsibilities: •    Monitor quality of incoming raw materials and finished products, including organoleptic evaluations. •    Enforce Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs). •    Complete pre-operational inspections each morning and evening, including weekly swabs. •    Monitor general upkeep and sanitation of production areas. •    Verify Critical Control Points (CCPs) on the production floor. •    Perform specification testing on incoming raw materials as needed. •    Monitor and verify daily label checks, HACCP, operational checks, weekly thermometer checks, temperature tags, and calibration requirements. •    Verify proper function of metal detectors daily. •    Conduct training for employees assigned by the QA Manager. •    Perform daily organoleptic testing on products being run and prepare reports. •    Assist in ensuring safety and compliance with all company rules and policies. •    Conduct and manage internal facility and GMP audits. •    Manage the water activity testing process. •    Perform other duties as assigned. QualificationsEducation and Experience:  •    Basic computer skills required (MS Office Suite, Outlook); ability to learn industry-specific software. •    Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English. •    Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.   Competencies and Skills: •    Strong attention to detail and accuracy. •    Basic math and analytical skills. •    Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting ability. •    Works effectively both independently and in a team environment. •    Strong time management and organizational skills; able to prioritize tasks efficiently. •    Demonstrates initiative and a continuous improvement mindset. •    Follows policies, procedures, and GMPs consistently. •    Adapts well to changing priorities or unexpected events. •    React well under pressure and maintain composure. •    Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and varied shifts as needed. Physical Demands: •    Must be able to tolerate varying environments including hot, cold, humid, or wet conditions. •    Frequent walking and standing on slippery or wet surfaces. •    Ability to climb small ladders or platforms. •    Use of small hand tools for equipment assembly or inspection. •    Must be able to wash and sanitize hands regularly to meet GMP standards. •    Reasonable accommodation may be made for individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions. Work Environment and Personal Protective Equipment: •    Exposure to production areas with heat, cold, and smoke. •    Work performed in Ready-to-Eat (RTE) and cooler environments. •    Required PPE includes frock, gloves, ear plugs, and slip-resistant boots. •    Compliance with all food safety, safety, and GMP requirements is mandatory.   MUST BE 18 YEARS OR OLDER NOTE: This role will require extended hours based on production needs, including work to be performed after regular business hours and on weekends.
