Clinical Assistant Professor - Physical Therapy Denton

Clinical Assistant Professor, School of Physical Therapy - Dallas

Texas Woman’s University (TWU) School of Physical Therapy is hiring for a full-time 9-month, faculty position at the rank of Clinical Assistant Professor for our Denton campus. The School of Physical Therapy currently offers DPT and PhD programs on our Dallas, Denton, and Houston campuses. Our program emphasizes interprofessional education and preparing clinicians for all practice settings with an emphasis in rural healthcare practice. TWU’s School of Physical Therapy program has a long history of success for over 55 years. 

 Responsibilities will include: 

  • Developing and teaching courses in the professional DPT program
  • Participating in service activities within the School and across the University
  • Mentoring DPT students in research/EBP projects
  • Opportunities to participate in faculty-led research projects 
  • Academic Advising of DPT students 
  • Faculty must abide by the TWU Faculty Responsibilities, Standards of Conduct, and Disciplinary Processes (URP 2.330)

Qualifications

  • Eligible for licensure as a physical therapist in the State of Texas
  • Earned DPT
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a licensed physical therapist

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in academic or clinical teaching 
  • Current member of the American Physical Therapy Association
  • Specialization from the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties
