Position Summary

The Texas Business Center, located in Denton, TX just north of Dallas and Fort Worth, is seeking a dynamic and talented Patient Account Representative/Collector. The Patient Account Representative/Collector is responsible for the billing, follow-up, and collection of assigned patient accounts by contacting patients, insurance companies, and third-party payers to resolve all outstanding owed balances; works closely with collection agencies for bad debt recovery.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

Provide account and billing information to patients, insurance companies and/or collection agencies
Control collection efforts of accounts in an organized, professional, and efficient manner
Analyze accounts to determine correct insurance payment based on contract rate and patient's share.
This position reports daily to the Texas Business Center located at: 5800 N-I35, Suite 505, Denton, Texas 76207.

Qualifications

Education: High school graduate or equivalent preferred.

Experience: A minimum of one (1) year experience in a health care collections or related field, or any combination of education, training, or experience in a health care business office environment. Experience with insurance billing, computer and business software programs (Excel) preferred.

Additional Requirements: This position may require flexible hours, to include overtime.
