Work hours: PRN (As Needed) Rotating shifts including weekends



Here’s What You Need

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent Required
  • 1 Year Inpatient pharmacy tech experience strongly preferred
  • RPhT - Registered Pharmacy Technician Upon Hire Required

 

What You Will Do

·         Timely and accurate preparation, delivery to the nursing units/appropriate departments & storage of medications, including (when appropriate) the use of technology to do so, varies by location.

·         Ensuring accuracy of one's own work as well as the maintenance of required competencies, and other documentation. Must reflect consistently departmental quality improvement and Patient Safety standards, programs, and initiatives.

·         Ongoing professional development and growth, leads by example, perpetuates accountability, manages own time.

·         Communicate effectively, develop positive working relationships and role model teamwork that reflects the Texas Health Promise Behaviors. Trains new employees on routine tasks, under the direction of designated personnel.

·         Shares the responsibility for minimizing pharmaceutical costs (including wastage) and discovering new process efficiencies.

  • Other duties as assigned.
