What You'll Do

  • Perform final inspections on all outgoing products, including dimensional checks, weld quality, and galvanizing verification
  • Accurately measure parts using tape measures, micrometers, and calipers
  • Verify galvanizing thickness using coating thickness gauges
  • Conduct in process and final audits of products and manufacturing processes at multiple stages of production
  • Interpret mechanical drawings and specifications to confirm dimensional, welding, and quality requirements
  • Convert between fractions and decimals, as well as metric and imperial (U.S. standard) measurements
  • Audit and verify product identification and traceability throughout production
  • Maintain accurate inspection, audit, and training records, including scanning and organizing electronic files
  • Support ongoing Quality Management System (QMS) documentation updates and improvements
  • Manage and track gage calibration to ensure measurement accuracy and compliance

What You'll Need

  • Proven ability to accurately use a tape measure and work confidently with fractions of an inch
  • A strong understanding of linear measurements (feet/inches, decimals in both imperial and metric units)
  • Strong computer skills, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and electronic file management; SAP and Salesforce experience is a plus
  • Solid math, analytical, and problem solving skills
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
  • Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet inspection deadlines
  • High level of attention to detail, especially during repetitive or detailed inspections
  • Willingness and ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions (hot, cold, wet, or dry)
  • Ability to climb ladders and work at heights when required
  • Ability to pass a near vision eye exam (with or without corrective lenses), including reading Jaeger #2 or smaller at 12 inches (or equivalent)

  • High School Diploma or GED required
