The Quality Assurance Auditor is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, quality, and compliance of integration builds prior to shipment and deployment. This role serves as a critical control point in the production process by identifying defects, validating adherence to engineering and customer requirements, and driving early detection of issues that could result in rework, overruns, or customer dissatisfaction.
The Auditor partners cross-functionally with Operations, Engineering, Materials, and Suppliers to strengthen quality processes, improve first-pass yield, and support consistent, reliable delivery across the Distribution Group.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Quality Auditing & Inspection
- Perform audits (on-site and virtual) of integration builds to verify compliance with engineering drawings, customer specifications, and internal quality standardsÂ
- Conduct first article inspections and validate new assemblies to ensure accuracy prior to full productionÂ
- Perform physical inspections of finished goods, including UVN and Hut/Infrastructure builds, to confirm installation integrity and readiness for deploymentÂ
- Identify defects, non-conformances, and risks prior to shipment to prevent downstream rework and customer impactÂ
Process Validation & Improvement
- Review assembly drawings, process flows, and control plans to ensure alignment with quality standards and operational executionÂ
- Identify gaps in processes and initiate corrective action requests (CARs) to address root causesÂ
- Partner with Operations and Engineering to implement process improvements that enhance quality, efficiency, and consistencyÂ
- Support continuous improvement efforts aimed at reducing defects, rework, and material wasteÂ
Quality Monitoring & Reporting
- Track and document audit findings, defect trends, and recurring issuesÂ
- Escalating systemic quality concerns that impact cost, delivery, or customer satisfactionÂ
- Provide clear, actionable feedback to stakeholders to support resolution and prevent recurrenceÂ
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Collaborate with Quality Assurance, Manufacturing, Materials, Purchasing, and Suppliers to ensure consistent application of quality standardsÂ
- Serve as a quality resource to operations while maintaining independent audit integrityÂ
- Support quality-related initiatives and special projects as needed
- Supports continuous improvement by following established processes, identifying inefficiencies or issues, and contributing to solutions that improve safety, quality, and productivity. Leverages available tools and technologies, including AI-enabled solutions, where appropriate to improve efficiency and streamline work.

- Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and lifting (up to 50 lbs.)Â
- Ability to work in warehouse, manufacturing, and field environments, including ladders and confined spacesÂ
- Exposure to operational conditions including electrical components and ESD-sensitive equipmentÂ
- Repetitive use of hands and arms for inspection and documentation activities.
Skills and Abilities Required
- Working knowledge of telecommunications quality standards (e.g., TL9000, AT&T TP standards) and applicable building codesÂ
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and assembly instructionsÂ
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify root causes and recommend solutionsÂ
- Effective communication skills with the ability to deliver feedback constructively and influence outcomesÂ
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, production environmentÂ
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Education and Experience Required
- High School Diploma required; Associate degree preferredÂ
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in telecommunications, manufacturing, or quality assuranceÂ
- Experience working in cross-functional environments with production and operational teams.
