Job Description:

Parsons is looking for a talented Civil Engineer to join our team! In this role you will get to perform a wide variety of construction and earthwork design and analysis on challenging environmental projects.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Completes a variety of assignments such as design drawings, specifications, and other materials related to environmental remediation and earthwork projects (repository design, capping, grading, soil stabilization, etc.)
  • Development of means and methods and engineer’s cost estimates.
  • Prepares standard engineering computations, material quality takeoffs, estimates, and designs.
  • Performs alternatives evaluations for remedial alternatives under CERCLA.
  • Performs existing conditions assessment surveys.
  • Performs oversight of construction contractors.
  • Prepares and issues specifications, drawings, data sheets, and other construction documents.
  • Provides input and technical guidance to CAD Drafters, Designers, and Junior Engineers working on the same project.
  • Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

  • 4-year degree in civil engineering or related field
  • Registered Professional Engineer, or ability to obtain licensure is required
  • 8+ years of related experience on the civil engineering aspects of environmental projects (excavation and backfill, grading, reclamation, in situ remediation, capping, etc.) and construction oversight.
  • Working knowledge of CAD and other PC software packages typically associated with engineering design and construction.
  • Willingness to travel throughout Southwest Region for field work and meetings.
  • Knowledge of engineering and construction-related processes and practices.

What Desired Skills You’ll Bring:

  • Experience with contractor procurement and construction QA/QC is preferred.
  • Team collaboration and leadership skills

Salary Range: $86,700.00 - $151,700.00
