Key Responsibilities
- Lead project management and execution of multiple active Construction Materials Testing (CMT) and geotechnical projects from start to finish.Ā
- Review and finalize daily field reports, lab data, and project deliverables, ensuring technical accuracy and timeliness.Ā
- Supervise and mentor a team of field technicians, junior engineers, and admin staff.Ā
- Assign training and conduct quality checks on their work.Ā
- Manage client relationships for a large amount of clients/accounts across various sectors; public, private, industrial, residential and more.Ā
- Represent ECS in industry organizations and host client-facing educational sessions.Ā
- Oversee contracts, change orders, invoicing, and collections. Track and manage project budgets and profitability.Ā
- Perform site visits and maintain direct involvement with key projects to ensure quality assurance and issue resolution.Ā
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, providing clear communication, technical insight, and consistent follow-up.Ā
- Collaborate with department leadership on staffing, resource planning, and team integration.Ā

Qualifications
Basic QualificationsĀ
- Bachelorās degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, Materials Science Engineering, or related field.Ā
- 5+ years of experience in CMT, geotechnical, or related civil engineering projects.Ā
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel to local job sites.Ā
- Strong communication skills and proven project management experience.Ā
- Ability to prioritize work under pressure and manage multiple project timelines.Ā
Ā
Preferred QualificationsĀ
- PE (Professional Engineer) license highly preferred.Ā
- Additional certifications such as ACI, ICC, NICET Level II or III in Soils, Concrete, and Asphalt.Ā
- Deep understanding of ASTM and AASHTO standards for field and laboratory testing.Ā
- Experience with in-situ testing (e.g., density, moisture), cone penetration testing (CPT), rebar inspection, bolting, welding, and concrete strength validation.Ā
- Prior success in business development or client-facing roles.Ā

The expected pay range for this role and location is $90,000 - $115,000/year. The final agreed-upon compensation will be determined based on specific location and other individual qualifications.
