Your Opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity for an HSSE Training Coordinator on our growing team. The HSSE Training Coordinator supports the creation and development of HSSE online and facilitated training courses under the guidance of the HSSE Training Manager and HSSE Services Director. Responsible for developing course material including eLearning courses, videos, and other media considering assessment and presentation style for the audience. This is a full-time position, and work hours will reflect the requirements of the geography. 

Your Key Responsibilities 

  • Develop new central HSSE (online and facilitated) training content using industry accepted instructional design and adult learning principles. 
  • Work with HSSE operations teams to support and guide the development of regional and/or business-level training as needed.
  • Update and maintain central HSSE training programs and courses as needed in accordance with regulatory, regional, and business-specific requirements.
  • Identify gaps and develop learning objectives and specifications for new and existing courses. 
  • Maintain working knowledge of Stantec HSSE programs, policies and procedures.
  • Assist in troubleshooting courses and learner experience issues in partnership with Stantec Learning & Organizational Development (L&OD) teams.
  • Assist in quality review process for course development, including translated materials.
  • Edit and produce videos to supplement or support training development. 
  • Coordinate with internal facilitator pool and manage yearly schedule for facilitated HSSE Safer Together/ Supervisor courses. 
  • Collaborate with Stantec L&OD team on course development and implementation into Learning Management System (LMS) and facilitate communication between HSSE and L&OD teams internally. 
  • Connect with established external training vendors to address issues or questions as needed.

Pay Transparency: In compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible. Actual compensation for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on the agreed number of working hours per week.

In addition, employees will be eligible to accrue vacation between 10 and 20 days per year and eligible for paid sick leave (and if more generous, in accordance with state and local law).

Temporary/casual employees have access to 401(k) plans, employee stock purchase program, and paid leave, in accordance with state and local law.
