Singleton Schreiber, LLP is seeking a Mid–Senior Level Air Quality Specialist to join our Science Team in support of the firm’s Environmental and Toxic Torts practice groups. The ideal candidate brings deep technical expertise, strong communication skills, and the ability to translate complex scientific findings into practical insights for legal teams.

This is a hybrid position open to candidates located in the Colorado Front Range area.

Actual compensation will depend on experience, qualifications, and location.

JOB DUTIES:

  • Collect and analyze emissions and monitoring data, source information, and environmental sampling results.

  • Review air compliance documents such as emission inventories, Title V applications, deviation reports, NSPS/NESHAP/MACT reports, Tier II reports, and TRI submissions.

  • Model air emissions and dispersion patterns to assess potential exposure pathways and health impacts.

  • Evaluate potential toxic release and fire-related cases during the initial assessment phase.

  • Review, interpret, and communicate scientific literature to attorneys, paralegals, and case teams.

  • Assist in identifying and coordinating outside scientific experts.

  • Provide scientific support during depositions and case development.

  • Conduct research on toxic exposures, environmental impacts, and property damage.

  • Collaborate with lead attorneys on cases involving environmental hazards, toxic exposures, and elevated health risks.

QUALIFICATION AND REQUIREMENTS:

  • Experience using ArcGIS and related mapping software.

  • Experience collecting and analyzing dust, soot, indoor/outdoor air samples, and monitoring data.

  • Experience with FOIA, state sunshine act requests, or agency data requests preferred.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (particularly Excel); familiarity with R, Python, or other data analysis tools is a plus.
