Our Technical Accounting Manager will be responsible for assisting with complex accounting matters, such as equity-based compensation, valuation and accounting for business combinations, and research and documentation of other complex accounting topics. This position will report to the Director of Financial Reporting, Corporate and Technical Accounting and will interact closely with various departments across Zayo, including Accounting, Investor Relations, Finance and Tax. The position will also assist the financial reporting team in the timely filing of all quarterly and annual financial statements, including the audit process. Â

ResponsibilitiesÂ
Research, analyze and document Zayo’s position in complex accounting matters, including revenue and lease transactions, business combinations, debt and equity instruments, pensions, consolidations and other non-routine accounting transactionsÂ
Present and explain the implications of various types of transactions to business partners and leaders across Zayo, including senior management and executivesÂ
Develop, document and educate others on Zayo’s accounting policiesÂ
Support the external audit process, including coordinating requests for support, responding to auditor inquiries and assisting with other audit-related matters as requiredÂ
Assist in initiating, implementing and executing process improvements and controlsÂ
Oversee the preparation and submission of certain statistical and regulatory filingsÂ
Participate in other projects as necessary, including offerings for debt or equity instrumentsÂ

QualificationsÂ
Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related fieldÂ
Actively licensed CPAÂ
Minimum of five to seven (5-7) years of national public accounting experience or a combination of public accounting and industry experience with SEC reporting experienceÂ
Strong knowledge of US GAAP and SEC reporting and filing requirementsÂ
Ability to research, analyze and synthesize conclusions for various accounting and financial reporting issuesÂ
Ability to work independently, demonstrate initiative, and exercise judgment in a fast paced and changing environmentÂ
Ability to set priorities, manage multiple tasks and deadlines, and produce quality work while dealing with interruptionsÂ
Strong planning, organizational and problem solving skillsÂ
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to work effectively across the Company’s various business segments and locationsÂ
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPointÂ
Knowledge of Oracle, OneStream, Toppan Merrill Bridge, or Salesforce, a plusÂ
Experience in the telecommunications industry, a plusÂ
Estimated base salary range: $120,000 - $140,000 USD/annually.

The base pay range shown is a guideline and reasonable estimate for this role. It takes into account the wide variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions. Actual compensation offered may vary from the posted range based upon geographic location, work experience, skill level, certifications, and other business and organizational needs. Non- sales roles may be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive plan. Sales roles may be eligible to participate in a sales incentive plan.
