The Role:
As an Account Manager, you’ll use your attention to detail, relationship-building skills, and sales instincts to support Group Coordinators—helping them prepare for their trips and grow their programs by consulting on best practices to promote their trips and setting up future travel. You’ll manage key pre-departure details and follow through on requests to ensure a smooth, high-quality experience from enrollment through departure.
You’ll begin as a Support Account Manager, where you’ll learn the role, policies, and product while gaining exposure to our customers by assisting more tenured Account Managers. This includes providing out-of-office coverage and flexing your sales skills to upsell tour add-ons or booking returning travelers.
This role is designed to set you up for long-term success—providing the tools, experience, and support you need to thrive. Once fully ramped up and a book of business becomes available, you’ll step into the full Account Manager role and take ownership of your own customer portfolio.
As an Account Manager, you will be able to participate in the Sales Development Leadership Program. This is designed to accelerate the careers of high-performing candidates and prepare them for leadership in business. You will play a critical role in developing customer acquisition and retention strategies and identifying opportunities to improve the customer experience. Key Tasks:
- Manage & grow group trips within your own book of business by building a repeat sales pipeline and addressing pre-departure questions
- Build your repeat sales pipeline by utilizing the sales process to encourage Group Coordinators to set up future tours & leveraging recruitment best practices to increase their group size
- Set correct expectations by providing detailed information to travelers to ensure they have a full understanding of each component of the trip prior to departure
- Serve as the liaison between Group Coordinators and internal EF Go Ahead departments by initiating and following up on group requests
- Maintain an in-depth knowledge of our product, processes, and internal systems

A Successful Groups Account Manager Will Be:
- Fluent in both written and spoken Spanish and English. The majority of this role will be performed in English but Spanish will be called upon from time to time to be able to accommodate our Spanish speaking travelersÂ

- Compensation: First-year Account Managers have an on-target earning potential of $70,000 (base salary starting at $50,000 and $20,000 bonus potential). In addition, there is uncapped bonus for exceeding sales goals. You are eligible for a promotion to Senior Tour Consultant after 2 years of successfully exceeding goals and excellent performance with an increased OTE of $95,000 ($65,000 base and $30,000 bonus potential).
