We operate twelve college-preparatory schools serving students from early childhood through twelfth grade, and we invest deeply in every educator's growth through coaching, transparent feedback, and individualized career pathways grounded in our PEAK values.

RMP’s Big Five Goals

Every RMP team member contributes to all five organizational goals, with Assistant Principals of Operations playing a critical role in directly driving goals 1–3: Enrollment, Student Persistence, and Attendance.

  1. Enrollment & Fundraising: 5,100 students enrolled by October 1, 2026; $4M in fundraising
  2. Student Persistence: 90%
  3. Attendance: 95% daily attendance; 90% regular attendance
  4. Annual Retention: 75%
  5. Academic Achievement: 60% average proficiency in ELA and math, plus science in applicable grade levels, on CMAS/SAT for all 3rd–11th grade students

The Role

Assistant Principals of Operations (APOs) are systems builders, recruiters, and family advocates who ensure their campus runs smoothly so teachers can teach and students can learn. APOs own the school's operational infrastructure and are directly accountable for three vital signs of organizational health—Attendance, Enrollment, and Persistence (student retention)—in addition to the day-to-day operations that support academic instruction. As key members of the campus leadership team, APOs partner with instructional and student services leaders to remove barriers to learning, build high-performing operations teams, and create safe, joyful, efficient environments where staff and scholars thrive.

Key Responsibilities

Systems Builder - Operational Execution

  • Design and lead daily systems — arrival, transitions, supervision, dismissal — that protect instructional time.

  • Manage scheduling, materials distribution, space usage, and event logistics to execute campus priorities smoothly.

  • Build efficient, scalable systems that let teams sustain excellence while staying focused on the highest-impact work.

  • Maintain accurate, accessible scholar and family data systems that support compliance and timely decisions.

  • Steward school budgets and operational resources responsibly, aligned to schoolwide priorities.

Recruiter - Driving Enrollment

  • Actively drive student recruitment through community outreach and relationship-building to meet campus enrollment targets.

  • Compellingly communicate RMP's value proposition, address family questions and barriers, and build commitment to enroll.

  • Manage the recruitment and enrollment pipeline end to end, using data to prioritize outreach and adjust strategy.

Family Advocate - Driving Attendance & Persistence

  • Establish clear attendance monitoring and follow-up processes that drive average daily attendance goals.

  • Build family engagement structures that strengthen persistence and create positive scholar and family experiences.

  • Maintain clear, responsive communication so families stay informed and aligned with school expectations.

  • Lead safety, supervision, and facilities systems that keep campus clean, welcoming, and conducive to learning.

Team Leadership & Continuous Improvement

  • Manage and develop a high-performing operations team through regular coaching and clear performance feedback.

  • Build systems for accountability and continuous improvement; model solutions-oriented, ownership-driven leadership.

  • Serve as an active member of the campus leadership team, aligning operational execution with academic and culture priorities.

Success in This Role Looks Like…

  • Attendance, Enrollment, and Persistence targets are met or exceeded through proactive, data-driven systems.
  • Instructional time is protected; scheduling, materials, and assessment logistics run with consistency and precision.
  • Prospective and current families experience RMP as welcoming, compelling, clear, and responsive at every stage.
  • The operations team grows in effectiveness through consistent coaching, clear expectations, and improvement systems.
  • Data is accurate and accessible, and resources are stewarded responsibly and within budget.

Qualifications

  • Bilingual in Spanish and English
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
  • 3+ years of operations experience with demonstrated success building or improving systems and managing competing priorities
  • 2–3 years of direct people management experience
  • Experience engaging effectively with families, customers, and/or community members
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to continuous improvement of systems, structures, and procedures
  • Successful completion of a background check; eligibility to work in the U.S. (RMP participates in E-Verify)

Preferred Experience

  • Experience leading complex, high-volume operations in a school, hospitality, retail, service, or other fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated success managing teams and operational systems toward measurable performance goals
  • Experience in recruitment, sales, customer acquisition, or other relationship-driven work requiring proactive outreach and follow-up
  • Experience delivering strong customer, family, or community experiences while balancing competing operational priorities
