We’re looking for a talented individual to…

To join our team as an Energy Technician to support residential energy-efficiency programs through hands-on, field-based work. In this role, you will travel throughout a defined territory installing basic energy‑saving measures, verifying installations, and serving as the on‑site representative for both the program and CLEAResult.

This is an entry‑level, highly trainable role ideal for someone who enjoys working independently in the field, interacting with customers, and contributing to practical energy‑efficiency improvements in local communities.

You’re a great fit if you can…

• Install basic residential energy‑efficiency measures (e.g., lighting upgrades, water‑saving devices).

• Perform pre‑ and post‑installation verifications to ensure quality, accuracy, and program compliance.

• Collect and record technical data during site visits in accordance with program requirements.

• Serve as the on‑site program representative, clearly explaining program offerings, rebates, and benefits to customers and contractors.

• Troubleshoot basic installation or field issues and recommend appropriate corrective actions.

• Accurately document customer interactions, installations, and field activities.

• Travel daily throughout a defined territory using a company vehicle (picked up from the warehouse).

• Support additional energy‑efficiency initiatives, retrofit projects, or program needs as assigned.

• Provide basic technical guidance or support to ensure high‑quality installations.

Exciting candidates will have….

• Valid driver’s license with clean driving background.

• Ability to travel within the assign territory using a company vehicle and work independently.

• Strong communication and customer service skills; comfortable interacting with customers in their homes.

• Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to safely use hand tools.

• Willingness to learn installation techniques, program requirements and technical procedures.

• Reliable, consistent, professional, and ability to stay on task in a field-based role.

• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.

• 6 months - 1 year of related experience is an asset.

Targeted Compensation:

$23/hour

This is a safety-sensitive position and may include field work (such as work in industrial/commercial locations and customer homes), warehouse work, or requires driving on behalf of the company. Individuals provided a conditional offer of employment for this position must successfully pass a post-offer, pre-employment drug test and consent to the company obtaining a motor vehicle report evidencing a satisfactory driving record. Applicants for driving positions must hold a valid driver's license, and individuals provided a conditional offer of employment must successfully pass a drug test and maintain a clean driving record as an ongoing requirement for continued employment.

Any offered salary is determined based on internal equity, internal salary ranges, market data/ranges, applicant’s skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications (e.g. JD/technology), for example.
